However, CAF confirmed via its Twitter account that Morocco would be banned from the next two tournaments, fined $1million as well as forced to pay a further €8m in damages to the federation.

Pogba addresses transfer speculation after hair colour in France´s Euro 2020 draw

Paul Pogba played down rumours regarding a return to Juventus as the Manchester United and France star insisted he is solely focused on Euro 2020.

Pogba provided a sublime assist for Karim Benzema s second goal in France s entertaining 2-2 draw with reigning European champions Portugal in the final Group F fixture on Wednesday.

France earned a last-16 showdown against Switzerland at Euro 2020, but Pogba was asked about his future after his latest hairstyle fuelled speculation.

Pogba dyed his hair black and white – the colours of ex-club Juventus – leading to questions about the Old Lady, where he played between 2012 and 2016.

Qatar 2022 World Cup to implement semi-automated offside VAR

FIFA has confirmed it will utilise semi-automated VAR offside technology at the Qatar 2022 World Cup later this year, says head of refereeing Pierluigi Collina.

The move to introduce further advancements in the VAR process for this year s showpiece tournament has been ongoing over the past few months.

Following trials at the Arab Cup and Club World Cup, the fresh processes – which can cut VAR decision-making from 70 seconds to 25 seconds – is set to be implemented in the Gulf State in November.

Collina, a former World Cup final referee when he took charge of Brazil s win over Germany at Korea/Japan 2002, says the time is now to bring in semi-automated technology, which will further enhance decision-making.

We are very positive. It is ready,  he…

FA to investigate Euro 2020 final disorder

The Football Association (FA) will conduct a review into the unprecedented level of public disorder that marred Sunday s Euro 2020 final.

Italy beat England 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Wembley, although the hours building up to the game were dominated by scenes of unruly conduct on Wembley Way and in Leicester Square, both of which were left strewn with litter and debris.

That unrest was then wrought upon the match venue itself as supporters without tickets – successfully in some cases – attempted to enter the stadium.

The FA will work in association with the Metropolitan Police, who made 49 arrests in connection with the final.

We will carry out a full review and investigation into the events that took place at Wembley Stadium before and du…

Premier League preview 09th February 2013

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini can t afford his team to slip up at Southapton this weekend

This weekend’s Premier League programme kicks-off with Newcastle’s visit to Tottenham’s White Hart Lane in the early kick-off.

The home side are enjoying a good season and could go above third place Chelsea in the Premier League table, should the Blues slip-up at home against Wigan.

The home side will be without key striker Jermain Defoe, who could be on the sidelines for up to three weeks. Spurs may start this clash with Emmanuel Adebayor up front, but Clint Dempsey could fill-in up top.

Newcastle have experienced an upturn in form since the arrival of the likes of Yoan Gouffran and Moussa Sissoko.

Fiorentina can use ´bitterness´ from 2023 Europa Conference League final defeat, says Italiano

Vincenzo Italiano has urged Fiorentina to use their bitterness from last year s defeat in the Europa Conference League final against Olympiacos on Wednesday.

Fiorentina lost the 2023 Europa Conference League final in Prague to West Ham 2-1, conceding in the 90th minute to miss out on the chance to lift the trophy.

The Viola have not lost a game in the competition on the way to the final, holding off Club Brugge 4-3 on aggregate to reach the final for the second consecutive year.

Despite suffering disappointment last year, Italiano is hopeful his team can use that as a lesson to lead them to the trophy this time around.

The only thing that s different is that we ve already experienced certain things, Italiano told a press conference before Wednesday s fin…

Cardinals vs Titans Week 1 Picks and Predictions: Murray-Led Shootout

A non-conference kickoff is one of the more intriguing games on the NFL Week 1 slate, with the Arizona Cardinals coming to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans.

The NFL betting odds have hovered around a field-goal spread for this game, with Tennessee currently sitting as a 3-point favorite.

The Titans appear to have the inside track in the AFC South — possibly the weakest division in football — while the Cardinals try to claw their way to the top of the NFC West (arguably the toughest grouping in the league).

Here are free NFL picks and predictions for Cardinals at Titans on September 12.

NFL Week 5 Picks and Predictions: Ride the Jets in the Mile High City

Quality versus quantity.

This debate stretches to the far reaches of our lives, from work to home, and especially at the sportsbook when making our weekly NFL picks.

Case in point: I recently purchased a new garlic press. I know, exciting stuff. Stay with me though.

Before I made a move, I debated buying a quality one for $20 or grabbing a shitty one from the Dollar Store for $3 — which was why I needed a new garlic press in the first place. My old shitty $3 one broke about eight months after replacing the $3 one before that.

At work, I’m always juggling quality and quantity. I want to provide as much insight and information into the NFL odds as I can but have multiple games to cover and deadlines to meet. I lean into the heavy-hittin…
